Today’s delicious road trip vacation food entry comes to you from Troy’s 105 Diner in Boone, North Carolina. We came to love this spot for breakfast!
Troy’s is located on 105 South in Boone, so you can see where they get their name. Breakfast is served all day, but they offer the usual diner fare.
Day three of our road trip/vacation was our first visit to Troy’s for breakfast. I ordered the “Flo’s Frenchie”.
Six delicious slices of French toast that was served with bacon and eggs (I chose scrambled with a little cheese).
My dad chose bacon, one egg and hash browned potatoes.
My mom opted for a mushroom omelet, which turned out to be huge!
Nothing fancy, but quite good.
The tot had an early breakfast at the cabin and just watched her iPad while enjoying a fresh biscuit with jelly.
This is one of the mom and pop diner’s that you can’t resist on vacation, but I also noticed that there were quite a few regulars from the area that frequented this spot. I will definitely eat here again for breakfast when we return to the area. Good food, good service and good people.

After breakfast we hit the road for a day at Fort Chiswell Animal Park where we boarded an old school bus for an up close animal safari unlike any other! We drove from Boone, North Carolina to Max Meadows, Virginia and it was well worth the scenic drive!!
