Yalaha Bakery

You don’t have to drive to Yalaha, Florida anymore to visit this lovely German bakery.

I have visited Yalaha Bakery on Ivanhoe Row before, and each time I visit I try something new. They have quite a selection of sweet treats.

They also carry many fresh baked bread options.

Come early for the bread, they sell out quickly.

They also carry a nice selection of German meats.

And a small selection of muesli.

This visit we had these gorgeous desserts…

Top left: Fruit Tart

This is sweet creamy pudding in a light flaky crust, topped with mango, blueberry, blackberry, strawberries, pineapple, kiwi and raspberry fruits.

Top right: Cherry streusel

This dessert had a more dense bottom crust with juicy cherries in a glaze, covered with tasty crumbs.

Bottom left: Cream Horn

A light, flaky, sugar-coated cone dipped at its opening in chocolate, and filled with a vanilla cream of a pudding-like consistency.

Bottom right: Peanut Butter Cup

This was really rich. The crust was a brownie cup, filled with a chocolate chip cookie dough, and iced edges of sweet chocolate frosting, topped with chopped nuts.
